President Muhammadu Buhari has formally kept in touch with the National Assembly advising the government officials that he had continued his capacities as the President of the nation.
His Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Femi Adesina, unveiled this in an announcement on Monday.
Adesina said the Presidential correspondence to the National Assembly was in consistence with Section 145 of the 1999 Constitution (as changed).
The letters were routed to the Senate and the House of Representatives.
"I have continued my capacities as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with impact from Monday, March 13, 2017, after my excursion," Adesina cited Buhari as writing in the letter.
